2024 MMIWG Conference “The Power of Her Story”
The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Conference was emotionally & mentally heavy, but an extremely powerful and much needed event. There, we took the time remember, share and honor those all of those who are affected by MMIWG.
We had invited guest speakers to come forward to share their stories of how MMIWG affected them and their families. We were honored with their presence, and we admired their courage to share. Our guest speakers were; Regina & Carson Poitras, Willie & Gladys Billette, Brian Gallagher, Karen Sanderson, and more.
We also had organizations present on their services, and they were; Caring Hearts, NorthSask Victim Services, Sexual Assault Services Saskatchewan, FSIN FILO, Metis Nation Society, and more.
We appreciate everyone who came to speak/present, and to all those who showed their support, we could not have done this without any of you. We will continue to provide MMIWG events as every MMIWG Female deserves to have her story told every time an opportunity is given.
