Scholarship Information

La Ronge Native Women’s Council Scholarship

Piwapan Women’s Centre is a Non-profit organization, governed by the La Ronge Native Women’s Council Inc. A volunteer board of directors providing services and support to women and children.

The La Ronge Native Women’s Council is proud to present two Annual Scholarships. Margaret Beament and Mary Heimbecker are recognized in their foundational work and contributions to the La Ronge Native Women’s Council.

Their hard work and dedication gave a voice to those in need. Their vision for change was ground-breaking as they pursued funding for many organizations that still stand in the community. Their commitment to the community and the North continues through the work of the La Ronge Native Women’s Council Inc. Their leadership is admirable. Through this scholarship we honour Mary and Margaret, and it is our hopes that we can help pave the way for future leaders who are as committed as Mary Heimbecker and Margaret Beament.
